Siniat GTEC Thermal PIR Boards are an insulated drylining material designed to provide a wall finishing whilst improving the thermal conductivity within residential or commercial buildings. The boards are made up of a polyisocyanurate (PIR) core bonded to a 12.5mm plasterboard with an additional metallised vapour control layer in the middle. Aerated calcium sulphate di-hydrate enclosed inside liners made from recycled wastepaper with bound edges. Core and papers are bonded with starch. Edge glue is PVA. The vapour control layer within the boards will help to prevent condensation which can result in dampness, mould or rot which can create an unhealthy environment and damaged structure.

The boards are 2400mm by 1200mm available in thicknesses between 37.5mm and 82.5mm with a thermal conductivity of 0.022W/mK (PIR Board), and 0.19W/mK (plasterboard). The board's thickness includes the plasterboards, for example, 12.5mm plasterboard bonded to a 25mm Insulation board will create a thickness of 37.5mm. Siniat Thermaline boards are available with a tapered edge only. The thinner options of the boards offer thermal performance whilst saving space within the room. Thermal Boards are quick and easy to cut, handle, and install.

These boards can be cut by measuring and marking the board if necessary and cutting with a fine-toothed saw. They can also be cut by scoring one side of the board with a sharp knife or blade, snapping over a hard edge, and scoring the other side.

These boards should be stored in a cool, dry environment on a level surface. If indoor storage is not an option, ensure the correct weatherproofing materials are applied. Do not put heavy products on the boards or stand on them. Although the boards are rigid, too much pressure can result in the boards crumbling from the inside.

By installing insulated plasterboards within your property, you can save up to 37% on annual heating costs. You can also contribute to climate change and the reduction of global warming by reducing the levels of heat leaving the property. The Thermal boards create a more temperature-controlled and comfortable living and working space.

Thermal Boards can be installed in a range of methods. These methods include:

  • Partition wall applications
  • Wall lining applications
  • Metal and timber frame applications
  • Ceiling and roof applications
