Can you use plaster as adhesive?

Commonly referred to as drywall adhesives or bonding compound, it can be applied in many ways including the dot and dab method or directly onto the area that is being re-plastered. Plaster board adhesive can also provide insulation against heat, sound, and moisture for long lasting results.

What's the difference between bonding and plaster?

Bonding is an undercoat that is used as the first coat / primer before the surface is plastered. Plaster is the final coat that is used to complete the wall and the last step before decorating.

What is the dot and dab method?

The dot and dab method one of the ways in which plasterboard and insulation boards can be applied. Dot and dab can be used with a range of different adhesives and involves the application of plasterboard / insulation adhesive at regular intervals along the board, before pressing the board firmly against the desired location to secure.
