Siniat standard board is a dry lining board made up of a gypsum core with strong paper linings bonded to each side designed for the application of internal walls and ceilings within residential and commercial buildings. GTEC boards are easy to cut, handle, and install.
The boards are composed of Aerated Calcium sulphate di-hydrate enclosed inside liners made from recycled wastepaper with bound edges. Core and papers are bonded with starch. Edge glue is PVA. Wallboards are a quick and efficient way to complete a room with a professional finish.
These boards come in sizes between 900mm and 3000mm and in thicknesses between 9.5mm and 15mm with an option of squared or tapered edges. Square edge boards are made for textured finishes or applications where decoration isn’t needed and are also suitable for the direct application of gypsum plaster. Tapered edge boards can be taped and filled for the perfect flush finish, and they can accept a single coat of gypsum plaster in most cases. The board name and batch number can be found written at the back and on the long edges of the board.

Siniat boards can be cut to size by scoring one side of the board with a sharp knife, snapping the board over a hard edge, and then scoring the other side. Holes for sockets etc can be cut with a utility saw.
Boards should be stored internally on a flat surface. If indoor storage is not an option, ensure the correct weatherproofing materials have been applied and the boards are of the ground. If the boards should be allowed to get wet do not use. Do not put any excess weight onto the boards as although they are rigid, they can crumble from the inside due to too much pressure.

Installation guide: How to tape and joint dry wall
You will need:
4” jointing knives
6” jointing knives
Internal angle tool
Required Compound mixtures
Measure and cut paper tape to fit the butted wall boards from top to bottom. If more than one strip of tape is needed use the already cut tape as a measure for the rest of the strips.
Mix the required compound following the relevant instructions. Apply the compound to the internal corners from top to bottom with a 4” jointing knife. Then fold and crease the tape down the middle crease line to apply to internal corners. Fix the tape in place by running the jointing knife over the tape from top to bottom. Then apply another layer of the compound mixture over the top of the tape. The internal angle tool can then be used in the crease to create a sharp internal corner.
Repeat step two on the adjoining boards by applying compound and smoothing with a towel. Place the tape over the compound and board joins. Use the jointing knife again to run down the tape to secure with slight pressure. Then cover the paper tape with compound and smooth again with a trowel.
Apply a joint cement compound coat over the board joins covering the entire width of the previous layer of tape and compound from top the bottom. Smooth all edges where the compound meets the board. Do the same for the corners using the 6” knife. And finish with the internal angle tool to create a sharp corner.
Then sand the walls until smooth with no rough patches of protrusions. Apply another layer of joint cement, allow to dry, and then sand again. Apply sealer to the entire area before decorating with a roller and brush. Please note face coverings are recommended when sanding.
