Kingspan Kooltherm K110 Plus Soffit Board is part of the Premium Kooltherm 100 range and is a premium performance insulation board with a fibre-free rigid thermoset phenolic core. The board is bonded to a glass tissue based facing on its front surface during manufacturing with building board fixed to its reverse side. The blowing agent within this product has Zero Ozone Depletion Potential and Low Global Warming Potential.
The Kingspan K110 Plus is 1200mm by 2400mm with thicknesses between 71mm and 91mm. The thickness includes the thickness of the insulation board with the addition thickness of the building board. For example, the 71mm board is a 65mm insulation board fixed to a 6mm building board. It provides a thermal conductivity of just 0.018W/mK. K110 Plus is quick and easy to install due to its lightweight materials. This product can be applied to new builds, extensions, and refurbishments. The K110 Plus is extremely durable and long-lasting deposing on the supporting structure and the conditions of its use.

What is the different between K110 and K110 Plus?
K110 has a foil facing on one side of the phenolic core and glass tissue facing on the other side. K110 Plus has a glass tissue facing on one side of the phenolic core and a 6mm build board fixed to the other side.
Are there different methods of insulation for the K110 and the K110?
K110 and K110 plus can be install in the exact same method. The only difference between methods is the K110 is applied with the foil facing on display and foil is applied to joins. How do you cut K110 Plus Soffit Board?
Kingspan K110 Plus Soffit Board should be measured and marked with a guide if necessary and cut with a fine-toothed saw. Putting the board onto a higher surface with room for the saw to cut through the board is recommended. Cutting the board with a knife and snapping the board is NOT recommended for this product.
What safety measures should I take when installing this product?
Protective clothing, eyewear, face masks and gloves is recommended when cutting insulation material to prevent the produced particles from being inhaled or irritating the skin and eyes.
How should K110 be stored?
K110 Plus Soffit should be stored in a weatherproof environment on a flat surface. Standing on the boards is not advised and can damage the boards. If inside storage is not an option, the boards should be covered with the appropriate weatherproof materials. If the board should be in a condition where they get wet the boards should NOT be used.

HOW TO INSTALL SOFFIT INSULATION
Insulation boards should be installed break-bonded with joints lightly butted.
A minimum of 11 appropriate mechanical fixings is required to secure each insulation board to the soffit. These should be evenly distributed over the whole area of the board.
Depending on the soffit construction, further mechanical fixings may be required. This will depend on the height and width of the soffits, the geographical location of the building, and local topography. The requirement for additional fixings should also be assessed where the insulation boards may be subject to external wind pressure.
Fixings must penetrate at least 40mm into a solid substrate. Fixings much be located between 50 and 150mm from a boards edges and corners and should not overlap board joints.
If using soffit insulation with a foil outer face, joints should always be taped using a self-adhesive aluminium foil tape. This is not needed if the outer face is a non-combustible building board.
In the absence of other protection, any exposed edges should be protected by a self-adhesive aluminium foil tape, with an overlap onto the insulations board outer face.
