Isover Spacesaver Roll glass fibre insulation is made up of a high-quality glass fibre mineral wool insulation. The rolls are manufactured with Zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and zero GWP (Global Warming Potential).
The manufacturing process does not use or contain CFCs, HCFCs or other damaging gases The product comes in roll form and is designed for thermal applications in cold roofs and loft floors. The rolls are pre-perforated at 3 x 386mm and 2 x 580mm to allow easy installation between joist centres of 400mm or 600mm. It provides a thermal conductivity of 0.44W/mK.
Isover Spacesaver glass wool provides thermal insulation for cold roof constructions in both new-build, renovations, and extension projects.
Isover Spacesaver is manufactured from high quality glass mineral wool which is lightweight and make it easy to handle, cut and install. This product can be cut easily if necessary, using a Stanley blade. The Isover Spacesaver rolls are resilient to moisture damage in storage, during delivery and on-site during installation. The roll come in compressed packages which makes moving and storing the rolls conveniently. Isover Spacesaver rolls will last for as long as the building does providing, they are installed correctly.
Heat rises, by installing loft insulation you are preventing heat from escaping out of the roof of your property. This will create a more comfortable and temperature-controlled environment by providing you property with warm winters and cool summers. This also improve the properties thermal and energy efficiency. This will contribute to affecting climate change and global warming.

How is Isover Spacesaver Loft Roll installed?
The roll should be rolled out between each rafter on the loft floor. The loft rolls should fit a 400mm or 600mm cavity. The rolls can be cut if necessary and if two rolls need to be put together, they should be tightly butted together to avoid thermal bridging.
A long object such as a broom or plank of wood can be used to ensure the rolls are pushed securely into hard-to-reach corners.
Another layer of loft roll should be applied vertically over the existing rolls in between the rafters. The combined loft roll thickness should reach a minimum of 270mm. once all of the rafters within the loft space are covered the insulation installation is complete.
If your loft space has little or no access a professional can be called, who will have specialist tools that can insulate the area.
Please note this is a guide only and a building professional should be consulted before any loft insulation is installed into your property to avoid damage being done to the building.
