Initial impressions : i was dubious of ordering after seeing some of the negative reviews, but equally amused by trade insulation replies....... i was looking at reviews because i'd never heard of the business, but after reading the reviews it became clear that actually the place was not a scam, the goods were arriving however people had not paid attention to tickboxes at checkout or were expecting craned deliveries (again not reading checkout\terms) and leaving their mrs at home to accept the orders i ordered 50mm celotex, and rwa45 insulation it's all arrived on the day they said it would yes i needed to help unload it, but guess what, i ordered it to use it so i fully intended to be handling it anyway and not only that even if i didn't need to help i would have had to move it anyway as they would have just done a kerbside delivery driver was great, he asked if i was comfortable in lifting the pallet of pir off in one go, (if you're not you're an adult, simply say no and open the pack) basically it came from travis perkins and i imagine it will come via other major suppliers too much like most of the online companies..... but because these guys order such large quantities they can pass on the discount and they're responsible for dealing with the the like of the tp if there's an issue summary : Yes i would recommend and yes i will order again

15mm Siniat Sound Board

15mm Siniat Sound GTEC Board is a high-performance gypsum board that has been specially designed for use in areas that require enhanced sound insulation. Made with a gypsum core and paper face, this board has excellent acoustic properties that help to reduce noise transmission, making it ideal for use in residential and commercial buildings.

In addition to its sound insulation properties, Siniat Sound GTEC Board 15mm also has excellent fire-resistant properties. The board has been tested and certified to meet fire safety standards, making it a safe choice for use in buildings of all types. This is particularly important in areas where fire safety is a concern, such as stairways and corridors.

Siniat Sound GTEC Board is also resistant to mould and mildew, making it an ideal choice for use in areas that are exposed to moisture or high humidity. This makes it particularly suitable for use in bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas where moisture is a concern.

The benefits of using Siniat Sound 15mm GTEC Board

One of the key features of Siniat Sound GTEC Board is its high-density gypsum core, which provides superior sound insulation properties. The board is able to absorb sound waves and reduce their transmission, helping to create a quieter and more comfortable environment. This makes it an excellent choice for use in walls and ceilings, particularly in areas where noise is a concern, such as bedrooms, living rooms, and offices.

Another benefit of 15mm Siniat Sound GTEC Board is its environmental friendliness. The board is made from natural gypsum, which is a renewable resource, and is fully recyclable. This makes it an eco-friendly choice for builders and contractors who are looking to reduce their environmental impact.

Another benefit of Siniat Sound GTEC 15mm Board is its versatility. The board can be used in a variety of applications, including walls, ceilings, and partitions. It can also be used as a base layer for tiling, making it a popular choice in bathrooms and other wet areas. This versatility makes it a cost-effective option for builders and contractors, as it can be used in a wide range of projects.

How to install Siniat Sound GTEC Board 15mm

Installing Siniat Sound GTEC Board is a straightforward process that can be completed by builders and contractors with basic carpentry skills. Here are the general steps for installing the board:

Measure and mark the area where the board will be installed. Make sure to measure accurately and account for any obstructions, such as pipes or electrical boxes.

Cut the board to the appropriate size using a saw or a knife. Make sure to wear appropriate safety gear, such as eye and ear protection, while cutting the board.

Position the board in place and secure it using screws or adhesive. If using screws, make sure to use screws with a length that is appropriate for the thickness of the board. Space the screws evenly along the edges of the board, leaving a gap of approximately 200-300mm between screws.

If installing multiple boards, make sure to leave a gap of approximately 2-3mm between each board. This will allow for expansion and contraction due to changes in temperature and humidity.

Once the boards are installed, apply joint cement to the joints between the boards. Use a trowel to spread the joint cement evenly and smooth out any bumps or unevenness.

Allow the joint cement to dry completely, then sand it down using a fine-grit sandpaper. This will create a smooth and even surface. Finish the board as desired, by painting or wallpapering.

It is important to follow all safety precautions and manufacturer instructions when installing Siniat Sound GTEC Board. If you are not comfortable with installing the board yourself, it is recommended to seek the help of a professional.

How to safely store 15mm Siniat Sound GTEC Board

Proper storage of the Siniat Sound 15mm GTEC Board is important to ensure that it remains in good condition and is safe to use. Here are some tips for safely storing the board:

Store the board in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Exposure to moisture or direct sunlight can cause the board to warp or degrade.

Store the board flat, on a level surface. Stacking the boards can cause them to become warped or damaged, which can make them difficult to install.

Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the board, as this can cause it to become compressed or damaged.

If the board needs to be stored outside, make sure to cover it with a waterproof tarp or plastic sheeting to protect it from rain or snow.

If the board becomes wet, allow it to dry completely before storing it. Wet boards can develop mould or other types of damage.

Handle the board with care when moving or storing it, as it can be easily damaged if dropped or bumped.

By following these tips, you can help ensure that your Siniat Sound GTEC Board remains in good condition and is safe to use when it comes time to install it.
