How To Guide:
Before you begin:
- The matt should be installed fixed between the carpet / timber floor and sub-floor
- The sub-floor must be dry, clean, and smooth
- any floor coverings must be removed
- All timber floorboards must be securely fixed and levelled
- Concrete floors must be free of any gaps or holes which can be properly filed with a type of sealant
- Any doors that open into the room must be removed and replaced once complete
Step 1:
If the mat is installed on top of the finished floor, the skirting must be removed and replaced, while when installed on top of a carpet, the mat should go all the way through to the gripper rail edge. The mat is rolled directly onto the sub-floor surface, so that it covers the entire area and turned or butted up at all perimeter walls
Step 2:
The mat should be bonded to the sub-floor surface by using the required adhesive, while the adjoining edges should be butted to the walls with building tape. The mat must be properly protected from any type of potential mechanical damage whereas timber and vinyl coverings and carpets can be laid directly on the mat, but solid timber flooring should be pinned to min 12mm plywood.

Had wood floor fitted upstairs and used this underlay. So far so good, not much sound at all.
